We are starting the night with DJ YoDub Selecta.
Since a young age, Yodub has been influenced with a variety of music styles. From heavy metal, to rock, punk rock, reggae, raggamufin, hip hop, cumbia, dub etc. He is also a founding member of TDot Batu and will be spinning tunes that will get the celebrations started as soon as we open the doors.
Opening the show for TDot Batu is the live band: Malunguinho
Recently founded by Sergio Xocolate, Malunguinho is coming with a powerful showcase of drums and voices bringing the roots of Recife – Pernambuco, Brazil. Featuring great friends from the community, this will be a crew that everyone will be talking about!
Dance party by Dubmatix – Seven time Juno Award Winner

Errol Nazareth - CBC National Radio – Big City, Small World
The prolific Canadian composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and seven-time JUNO Award winner and nominee hails from Toronto but has carved out a massive following on the international stage.
He is a recording machine, from his debut release Champion Sound Clash in 2004, the Toronto-born Dubmatix has
gone on to produce and record a mind blowing 500 releases + to date & counting!
As 2018 fast approaches so too is a busy year filled with multiple Dubmatix releases including the very much anticipated new album with legendary duo & 2017 Grammy nominated artists Sly & Robbie .
The collaboration will be entitled “Overdubbed - Sly & Robbie meets Dubmatix” and is scheduled for release on Echo Beach in January of 2018, followed by King Sized Dub album in March, a new project with music legends UB40, and of course the 6th Dubmatix album release slated for the Spring of 2018 (featuring: Lone Ranger, The Hempolics, Prince Alla & Duane Stephenson to name but a few!) followed by a six month International tour kicking off in April!
Main attraction for the night is TDot Batu!
TDot Batu is a tightly knit Afro-Brazilian percussion batucada inspired by the power and dedicated to the study of the rich rhythmic tradition born out of the fusion of samba and reggae from Salvador, Bahia.
As integral part of the Toronto Tropical music scene we collaborate with members of the arts and music community to create spectacular participatory celebrations that reflect the vast color and energy of Brazilian culture.
Featuring The 420 Orquestra and special guest singers, we will be featuring select songs from our sold out Tributes to Bob Marley and Michael Jackson!
