When and why did you start drumming?
Does tapping on the table, the steering wheel or any other surface count?:) I started drumming in 2015 when I joined the TDot Batu beginners workshop. I wanted to learn how to play some sort of hand drums, but when I came across TDot Batu I knew I had to give it a shot.

Do you sing or play other instruments?
I love to sing, but I am absolutely terrible at playing instruments…except drums, I hope.

What’s your favourite memory of drumming?
Every time the crew gets together, we make great new memories. So far, I would have to say ringing in the new year together with a killer performance!

What inspired you to join TDot Batu?
A friend of mine, who was already in the beginners workshop, told me about the classes he was taking, so I checked out the band and I was hooked instantly.

What advice would you give to beginners?
Just try and don’t give up! Anyone can play with a little bit of dedication and practice. Find your groove, get into the music and just go with it.

What are you listening to lately?
A little bit of everything, depending on what the mood calls for, but reggae and dancehall are at the very top of my list most of the time.

What’s your favorite place in the TDot?
Humber Bay park. I love to sit on the rocks, and listen to the water while the day fades into the night and watch the downtown city lights come to life. <3
